About Me
I am a health and science journalist and yoga teacher based in Ontario, Canada. I write for print and online publications, and teach private and group yoga and meditation classes.
Health and Science Journalist
As a health and science journalist, I care deeply about writing stories that are accurate, informative, and interesting.
I write about everything that piques my curiosity from the science of happiness to the latest medical breakthroughs, from the mysteries of consciousness to the strange quantum world, from the benefits of yoga and exercise to affordable health care.
During my travels, I have performed as a professional clown, backpacked alone in the wilderness, and helped Keep Portland Weird.
Yoga Teacher
I have been teaching yoga and meditation since 2009, first in Portland, Oregon, and now near Owen Sound, Ontario. My classes range from beginner and gentle to more advanced.
My teaching draws on several types of yoga, including a dynamic style of yoga that uses movement and breath to help students find stillness and focus.
When I’m not writing or teaching yoga, you can often find me cross-country skiing or hiking in the forests or mountains.
“That’s the great secret of creativity. You treat ideas like cats: you make them follow you.”
― Ray Bradbury, Zen in the Art of Writing
My Writing Skills
I write health and science articles for print and online publications, as well as health-related copy for large and small companies. I also help individuals and businesses create content, build their content strategy, share on social media, and improve their website SEO.
As a health and science journalist, I cover health, science, medicine, yoga and other topics for online and print publications. This includes both bylined and ghostwritten content. Check out my writing portfolio to see my latest articles.
