Mindfulness Monday Yoga

Mondays 9:30 am to 10:45 am

Start your week off right. Relax and focus with a gentle–but powerful–mix of yoga poses, breathing and meditation. This yoga class is suitable for all levels, even beginners.

Each week, we’ll spend about the first half of class doing a series of yoga poses that will prepare you to sit for longer periods of time.

During the rest of class, we’ll use breathing and meditation techniques to help you develop better focus. This mindfulness will stay with you throughout the week.

Private and Group Yoga Classes

Treat yourself to one-on-one yoga instruction. Get motivated. Find a yoga practice that fits your body and schedule. I can meet with you weekly, monthly, or anything else that fits your schedule and budget. I will provide you with a personal yoga practice that you can do on your own. As you progress, I will modify your practice to help you keep improving.

Schedule a yoga class for your friends, organization, or neighbors. Yoga is also a great addition to any event. Classes can be done at your workplace, home, rental space, and even outside in the park. I will adjust the class to fit the needs of your group. This can range from doing office yoga to vigorous yoga on the beach.

Rates for Private and Group Yoga Classes

  • $65 for an hour-long yoga class (for up to 5 students, $10 for each additional student)
  • $95 for a 90-minute yoga class (for up to 5 students, $15 for each additional student)

The cost of the class does not include space rental. Additional travel costs for yoga classes outside of Owen Sound, Wiarton, Sauble Beach, or Hepworth, Ontario. Contact me for details.

Yoga Classes That Fit Your Needs

I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2009 at CorePower Yoga in Portland, Oregon. After that I studied Ashtanga yoga at Yoga Pearl. I also took additional teacher training classes at Yoga Shala of Portland, including yoga workshops with Chase Bossart.

My yoga teaching style draws on several types of yoga. My main teaching style, though, is rooted in a breath-based Hatha practice that encourages people to develop a personal yoga practice.

I teach all levels of yoga, from beginner and gentle to more advanced. In my yoga classes, I help my students move at their own pace and work slowly toward more challenging yoga poses. I also have a long-time Buddhist meditation practice, so I regularly include breathing exercises (aka pranayama) and meditation in my classes.

My private and group classes are designed to meet your needs and goals, from beginner to more advanced. I can also work with people who have physical issues that prevent them from attending regular yoga classes.
